Kaguya-Sama wa Kokurasetai ~Tensai-tachi no Renai Zuunousen~
All’s fair when love is war!
Two geniuses. Two brains. Two hearts. One battle. Who will confess their love first…?!
Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy’s student council, making them the elite among elite. But it’s lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There’s just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss—they’re both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the “loser” in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
Yesterday, an official website and Twitter account opened their doors to announce that popular manga, Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai, got a green light for anime adaptation. The author —Aka Akasaka, first published this series at Miracle Jump magazine in 2015, but I personally started reading it last mounth and really loved it. The story was quite cliché and repetitious in the early chapter but got more interesting and deep later. There’s no exact date yet, but this is something worth to look forward.
A key visual for the project, as well as an illustration by Aka Akasaka-sensei were revealed. I break the details down below:
The image features the titular Kaguya, who is looking out toward the camera. A heart can be seen in her left eye, which has the kanji 告 (revelation) embedded within.
